WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is an 11-week series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.

Ask anything about life, faith and God in safe and friendly environment in an in-person or online setting. Each session looks at a different question, and is designed to create conversation. It’s an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

FIRST UP: THERE'S FOOD

Food has a way of bringing people together. In Alpha, each session begins with food. It cultivates community and creates space to get to know each other.

THEN: A TALK

The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Generally 30 minutes long as a live talk or played as a video. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as 'Is There More To Life Than This?', 'Who is Jesus?' and 'How can we have faith?' 

FOLLOWED BY: DISCUSSION

Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and share your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open space.
