What if we've been thinking too small about what God wants to accomplish through our lives? Last week's powerful message challenges us to reconsider the original vision God had for humanity—a Big, Holy, Audacious Goal that began in the Garden of Eden. From Genesis 1:28, we discover that God commanded Adam and Eve to fill the earth and subdue it, not as a burden, but as a joyful expression of human potential and creativity. Work wasn't meant to be drudgery; it was designed to be delightful, productive, and purposeful. Sin didn't just break our relationship with God—it shrunk us, distorting our identity, reducing our imagination, and corrupting our understanding of vocation. Yet through Christ, we find restoration to that original garden state. The parable of the ten minas in Luke 19 becomes a lens through which we see Jesus' expectation: He's given each of us something and He expects a return when He comes back. We're not called to bury what we've been given out of fear or complacency. Whether we achieve a 10X return, 5X, or simply put our gifts in the bank for interest, God desires faithfulness and productivity. The resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us, making nothing impossible.
