Luke 18:18-27

The rich young ruler couldn't enter God's kingdom because his hands were too full of what he refused to release. What are you clutching so tightly that you can't receive what God wants to give? For Logan's wife, it was nursing; for Logan, it was his career plan. God doesn't ask us to surrender because He's cruel, but because He's good. He knows that what we're holding onto will never satisfy like He can. When our hands are full of our agendas, relationships, or securities, we cannot grasp His better gifts. The paradox of faith is this: we must lose to gain, die to live, surrender to receive. What rock are you holding today? Lay it down. God's gifts always exceed our sacrifices. Empty hands receive abundant grace.
