Last week, we dove into the profound symbolism of baptism as more than a religious ritual—it's a declaration of transformation that we're called to live out daily. Drawing from Romans 6:3-5, we're reminded that baptism represents our identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. When we go under the water, we're declaring that our old life is gone; when we rise, we're proclaiming that our new life is found in Jesus. But here's the challenging truth: baptism isn't a landing point, it's a launching pad. We can't simply remember a moment from our past and coast on that memory. Instead, we're confronted with daily choices—will we live with our old habits or pursue His holiness? Will we chase our own success or His purposes? This message challenges those of us who've been baptized to ask ourselves honestly: are we living out the death-to-self that baptism represents? And for those who haven't yet taken this step of obedience, we're reminded that delayed obedience is disobedience. The celebration of over 300 baptisms this year isn't about numbers—it's about stories, names, and lives that matter to God. Each baptism is a visible demonstration that grace has become our identity, and we're invited to make our faith visible to the world around us.
