Matthew 16:24-26
The image of baptism as a symbol of surrender reminds us of the core of discipleship - dying to self and living for Christ. This surrender, paradoxically, is where we find true life and strength. Reflect on areas of your life you're still holding onto control. What would it look like to fully surrender these to God? Take a moment to symbolically "die to self" by writing down something you need to let go of, then prayerfully surrendering it to God.
