Matthew 13:44-46

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

The kingdom of heaven is a treasure beyond compare, worth more than anything this world can offer. When someone truly perceives its value, they would joyfully give up all they have to gain it, trading the fleeting enticements and sorrows of this world for the eternal blessings, healing, and love found in Christ. The allure of earthly gain pales in comparison to the life, joy, and freedom that Jesus offers, and the ultimate fear of missing out is not on worldly success, but on the kingdom prepared by Jesus.

Application:
What is one thing you are holding onto that keeps you from fully embracing the kingdom of heaven, and what would it look like to surrender it to Jesus today?
